Privacy Notice
What we collect, and what we refuse to
ServiceGuard is the vendor dependency registry at serviceguard.io, operated by its founder in the United States ("ServiceGuard", "we"). This notice covers this website and the ServiceGuard application at app.serviceguard.io.
On this website
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard connection logs, such as IP address and browser type, to serve the site and protect it from abuse.
If you request a demo or start a trial, we collect what you type into the form: your name, business email, company, company size, country, and what you want to see. We use it to respond to you, run your trial, and understand who is interested in the product. Nothing else.
In the application
When your team uses ServiceGuard, we store the account information you provide (name, work email, job title, timezone, and optionally a phone number for SMS alerts) and the registry your team builds: which services your company uses, who owns them, and the billing details needed to alert you before something expires.
What we deliberately never store:
- Full payment card numbers. The registry keeps the last four digits and the expiry date only: enough to recognize a card, never enough to use one.
- Your vendors' passwords. Access notes record the sign-in method and account email, not credentials.
- API credentials that could modify your vendors' payment methods. We never connect to your vendors at all.
How we use personal data
To provide the service: showing your team its registry, sending the alerts you configure by email or SMS, and processing subscription payments through a payment processor (we never see full card numbers there either). To respond when you contact us. To keep the service secure. That is the whole list.
ServiceGuard will not sell, trade, lease, or rent your personal data to third parties.
Where it lives, and how it's protected
Data is hosted on infrastructure in the United States (Cloudflare and Amazon Web Services), encrypted in transit and at rest. Every ServiceGuard account signs in with a password and a mandatory authenticator app. We share data only with the service providers needed to run ServiceGuard (hosting, email and SMS delivery, payments), and only what each needs.
Retention, export, and deletion
We keep your data while your workspace is active. Any workspace can export its full registry at any time. When you close your workspace, or ask us to, we delete your data within 30 days, except records we must keep for legal or billing reasons. Demo request details that don't turn into an account are deleted within 12 months.
Your rights
Wherever you are, you can ask us what we hold about you, have it corrected, exported, or deleted, and object to processing, by emailing privacy@serviceguard.io. If you're in the EU, UK, California, or anywhere else with a privacy law that grants you specific rights, we honor those rights. We respond within 30 days.
Changes
If this notice changes in a way that matters, we'll say so on this page and, for account holders, by email. The effective date above always reflects the current version.
