Terms of Service
The deal, in plain language
These terms govern serviceguard.io and the ServiceGuard application ("the service"), operated by ServiceGuard ("we"). By using the service, you agree to them. If you're accepting on behalf of a company, you're confirming you have the authority to do so.
What the service is
ServiceGuard is a registry of the third-party services your company depends on: who owns each one, which payment card it bills, and when that card expires. It sends reminders, supports onboarding and offboarding handoffs, and makes ownership visible.
Your account
Keep your registration information accurate and your credentials to yourself. Every account uses a password plus an authenticator app; keep your recovery codes somewhere safe. You're responsible for activity in your workspace by your team's members.
Trials, plans, and billing
Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial and requires a payment card. Cancel before the trial ends and you pay nothing. Plans, tiers, and prices are listed at serviceguard.io/pricing; refunds are covered by the Refund policy. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice, taking effect at your next renewal.
Your data is yours
The registry your team builds belongs to you. You give us permission to host and process it solely to provide the service. You can export everything, on any plan, at any time. Personal data is handled per the Privacy Notice. When your workspace closes, we delete your data as described there.
Acceptable use
Don't use the service to break the law, don't probe or disrupt it, don't try to access other customers' data, and don't resell it. We may suspend accounts that do.
Alerts are reminders, not guarantees
This one matters, so it gets its own heading. ServiceGuard sends notifications on the schedules you configure, through third-party channels like email and SMS that we don't control. We work hard to make them reliable, but we cannot guarantee that any message will be delivered, read, or acted on, or that every expiring card, unowned service, or risk will be caught. ServiceGuard is a tool that supports your team's own processes; you remain responsible for your vendor accounts, payments, and renewals.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, or costs arising from service outages, missed renewals, or vendor account interruptions. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Ending things
You can cancel any time from your workspace settings; the export promise survives cancellation. We can suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, and we'll tell you why unless the law prevents it.
Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA. If we change the terms materially, we'll notify account holders by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect; continuing to use the service after that is acceptance. The effective date above always reflects the current version.
